There are certain things you need to consider when determining which apartment will be right for you. For example, if you have a pet or you want to get one, you will need to find pet-friendly apartments in Marquette and familiarize yourself with the landlord’s rules on having pets. Some landlords are okay with you having pets. Others do not want any pets at all. Some landlords are okay with you having pets up to a particular size. Others will only allow certain breeds. Some will allow pets if you are willing to pay more for pet-friendly apartments in Marquette or if you are willing to pay a deposit.

If you are a smoker, you will need to know what your landlord feels about smoking in the unit. Many landlords do not allow smoking on their properties. Even if you are not a smoker, it’s good to become familiar with your landlord’s smoking rules. If they allow smoking, you may need to contend with the smell of smoke in your apartment. If they don’t allow smoking, you might have the frustration of people leaving cigarettes outside of the apartment.

Parking is another thing to think about. Is there free on-site parking? If not, you may need to park on the street. How busy are the streets? Are there rules that dictate which side of the street you can park on? Having the answers to these questions can save you from paying unnecessary fines and having your car towed.
